Welfit
A mobile e-learning platform that turns tailoring expertise into structured video courses — Men's, Women's, and Uniform stitching tracks — with tiered access plans, DRM-protected streaming, and a full admin dashboard for instructors.

The challenge
Tailoring expertise is usually taught in person, one student at a time — hard to scale, and hard for a learner to revisit once a class has moved on. Welfit's brief was to turn that expertise into structured, self-paced video courses across three tracks: Men's, Women's, and Uniform stitching.
That meant more than a video player. Learners needed to browse a catalog, preview before buying, pay in a way that felt native to India (UPI, net banking), and pick up a course exactly where they left off. Instructors needed a way to publish and price courses without waiting on an engineer.
Our approach
We scoped two apps from one shared backend from day one — a learner app and a separate admin app — rather than bolting admin screens onto the consumer product later. A shared UI and API-client package keeps both in sync as features ship.
Built on React Native and Expo, with Zustand for state and TanStack Query for data fetching — a stack chosen for fast iteration on a mobile-first, India-focused product without sacrificing type safety end to end in TypeScript.
What we built
A full learner journey: OTP-based auth with guest browsing, a home feed with free preview materials, a course catalog with trial videos and reviews, and a checkout flow — choose a validity plan (3 months up to lifetime), pay, get an invoice.
The video player supports fullscreen playback, 0.5x–2x speed, resume-from-last-position, and adaptive streaming up to 1080p — with DRM protection against screen recording, since the course content is the product being sold.
On the admin side: a course editor with module/lesson management, a students and payments dashboard, instructor management, and a testimonials workflow where learner reviews go through admin approval before appearing on the wall.
