Both. Roughly half our product work is greenfield and half is inheriting a codebase. For an existing system we start with a short paid audit — dependencies, test coverage, deploy path — and give you an honest read before proposing anything.

By where the users actually are and what the product needs from the device. If there’s no camera, offline or push requirement, a well-built responsive web app usually beats a native app you’ll have to maintain twice.

You do, throughout. Code lives in your repository and infrastructure runs in your cloud accounts from day one, so there’s never a handover where we have to give something back.

About an hour a week for the demo, plus whoever can answer domain questions. We don’t need a full-time product owner, but we do need one person empowered to make decisions.

We trade rather than expand. Weekly demos exist so a wrong assumption surfaces in week two when it costs an afternoon of replanning, not in week ten when it costs the build.
